Crafty tutorials...

Alright Crafters. Here are some fun, free tutorials I've come across. The beauty of these? All are relatively cheap and super easy to make (or else I wouldn't have paid any attention to them!)
Again, if anyone out there has their own tutorial or even ideas they would like to add, please email me your ideas and I will be glad to post them for all to see!
Thanks again, everyone!

A New Year Approaching

With a new year approaching in less than two months (!) I thought it would be fun to try out this blog of uniting fellow bakers, crafters, and any sort of makers.

Here's what we are going to do: A Swap

Who doesn't like getting mail and receiving new stuff?
  • We will be swapping our homemade gifts, crafts, baked goods, or whatever creative thing you make, quarterly. One in January/April/July/October of 2010.
  • I ask that the items be under $20, so as not to completely hurt one's pocketbook, and remember shipping goes with that! So get creative!
You can make items that go along with the month of the swap (ex: for January, mittens or a scarf or hotchocolate mix) or you can make whatever you'd like! The gifts we are sending should be for the other crafter/baker/or maker, though if those out there would like to do swaps for children items, you can arrange that with the person you get.

How to start: email me: tygerbonbon@gmail.com or leave a comment if you are interested. I should have most of your addresses, but if I don't I will contact you. I will then draw out names of those participating and will post who has who on the date I provide for the next swap.
Every swap you will have a new person.

Also, when it comes time to swap, please provide your swapee any important info. i.e. allergies for those bakers out there, or if you want to swap children items the ages/gender of child. *Remember: we are swapping ONE item for ONE item. That way noone feels outdone or overworked.

So, please, if you'd like to join in the fun contact me! I will post who has who on December 1st.
We will try to get our gifts to our fellow swapers before January 31st. I realize that this first one is through the holidays, so don't stress yourselves over this. It is suppose to be fun and something fun to do for others for our next year!

I will also be posting some fun online tutorials that I come across, if any of you need some new ideas or just are interested. I am always finding some fun things to make, but never have the time, so I'll share them with all of you! By all means, if you have any good tutorials, send them my way and I'll add them to the gift idea pages.

Oh, last thing. FRIENDS ARE WELCOME! If you have someone that you think would like to join, they are more than welcome! Just have them email me at tygerbonbon@gmail.com

Thanks to all, and enjoy your holidays and then last weeks of 2009!

-Jen
